{Total Recall} Marriage License Completion

I can say that processing wedding documents was a bit of a hassle but at least, we already got our marriage license! It only took 10 business days and either one of you (bride-to-be or groom-to-be) can pick up the marriage license. Peejay got it for us and paid P2 for the releasing fee.

You will really feel a great relief once this document is already in your hands. Sabi nga nila, big check! :)

{Total Recall} DIY night

No. This post is not about the Hollywood movie, Total Recall. I just thought of a naming convention for my backlog kwentos. Awesome right??? :) So, we start with our DIY night in May. Not sure if I mentioned that Peejay and I really have awesome friends. We call it Sunday Friendship Club or SFC (because I'm so creative in thinking of a group name haha). Rayjohn, Keren, Isko, Boni dropped by at the condo to help us out with some DIY stuff. I could say that we were productive that night but because I was too tired from work, we did not really spend a lot of time working on our props. 

Boni and Isko helped us cut paper flowers for the aisle decor.

My roommate, Happy helped with the cutting, too.

We planned to have tissue balls but gave up because it was too time consuming. LOL.

Thank you for spending the night with us, SFC! Mga true friends kayo! :D

More Preps Venue

My friends and I went to Picasso Boutique three weeks ago and there's no chance that I'm doing my preps there. Since the wedding will fall on a Friday, parking on the streets and heavy traffic will be our roadblocks. I thought of two hotels that are affordable and have good reviews.


1. Ascott Makati

The hotel is right beside Glorietta so it's really convenient in case we need to do last minute errands. I read some reviews that it's really spacious and customer service is excellent.

 2. Dusit Thani

Dusit is also near Glorietta and Landmark. It has a beautiful staircase but I'm not really particular with pictorials at the hotel.

Wedding Preps Venue: The Hunt begins...

I never thought that looking for a venue that we'll use the day before and after the wedding would be difficult. Initially, we wanted to get Linden Suites but my future mother-in-law suggested that we get a place near Enderun. Marriot, Shangri-la Makati, Maxim, Dusit Thani and Manila Peninsula are out. They're out of the budget. So I turned to W@W community and talked to another bride-to-be who's also getting married at Enderun. She suggested The Luxe Residences which we visited last Saturday. Their 2-bedroom apartment costs P9,030 per night and their 1-bedroom apartment costs P4,830 per night. Not bad right? They have nice rooms and literally 10 minutes away from Enderun but then I am bit concerned that there's no AC unit at the living room of the 1-bedroom apartment. Suppliers and guests will be there and room temperature matters for sure. I also don't like the fact that they will call the rooms at 10pm just to ask us if we still have guests. It has a curfew. So dormitory-like. 

So, I considered another one, The Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences which is in Salcedo Village, Makati. I like that Salcedo has a park and a lot of restaurants. It's also near Ayala Triangle and Landmark in case we need to buy stuff at the last minute. They don't charge corkage for take-out food and their rooms rates are reasonable too! Take a look at some of the pictures I got from their facebook account.

 I fell in love with The Picasso Suite instantly. I need big space for the suppliers who will be there during my preps. We'll be visiting the place one of these days. I hope!
