{Total Recall} DIY night

No. This post is not about the Hollywood movie, Total Recall. I just thought of a naming convention for my backlog kwentos. Awesome right??? :) So, we start with our DIY night in May. Not sure if I mentioned that Peejay and I really have awesome friends. We call it Sunday Friendship Club or SFC (because I'm so creative in thinking of a group name haha). Rayjohn, Keren, Isko, Boni dropped by at the condo to help us out with some DIY stuff. I could say that we were productive that night but because I was too tired from work, we did not really spend a lot of time working on our props.

Boni and Isko helped us cut paper flowers for the aisle decor.

My roommate, Happy helped with the cutting, too.

We planned to have tissue balls but gave up because it was too time consuming. LOL.

Thank you for spending the night with us, SFC! Mga true friends kayo! :D

Aisle Decor: Flower balls

Peejay did the cutting and I did the pinning (for the 2nd ball). 2 down...8 more to go!

...and we're back to DIY-ing!

It's crunch time!

2 months to go before the wedding and we're already panicking in finishing all our DIYs. Anyway, yesterday was a productive day for us. First, we ordered birth certificates and CENOMAR at SM Business Center for the marriage license. Second, we went to Ace Hardware store, Carolina's and National Bookstore to buy some DIY materials.

Peejay was assigned to do the aisle decor...because one of his expertise is making flowers. And I'm really really bad at it. He made me some patterns and I still couldn't get it! (hmmmmm... teka...). Anyway, he did one flower ball as a mock up muna para di masayang in case something goes wrong but to my surprise.... tada!!!

Super  natuwa kami with the long blue pipe that he covered by a fabric brown tape. We bought the pipe yesterday and we were holding it while walking at Megamall. Peejay's parents even asked what it's for. Sabi namin, pangsaway ng mga aso. LOL.

This flower ball is placed in a plastic pot so we need heavy material that can hold it still. (looking for rocks..pero may suggestion ba kayo?)

As for me, I made one corsage earlier pero kulang pa materials ko. Will go to Carolina's pa.

I find this flower ball beautiful and it's more amazing that Peejay made this! Galing! :)
