We went to Cainta City hall this morning to apply for our marriage license. Sadly, the premarital counseling certificate given by CCF was not accepted so we have to go back on Wednesday for the family planning seminar.
Just sharing the requirements in applying a marriage license in Cainta. Take note that the requirements vary based on the city hall where you are applying.
1. Original birth certificate (NSO certified) and original CENOMAR for both parties. *some city halls ask for the Cenomar receipt so better keep it if you're going to request from SM business center or E-census. In our case, they did not check it.*
2. Residence certificate or Cedula (kung sino man ang resident ng Cainta, in our case, si Peejay ang kumuha ng Cedula which costs P10 lang, makukuha ito sa city hall mismo, pagpasok mo sa city hall may door sa left na may signage na PAYMENT, doon makakakuha ng Cedula)
3. Attend marriage counseling: MSWD & Health held every Wednesday 8-12nn (thanks sis Donna). Hindi na kailangan pa-schedule pala ito, so kahit pumunta ka doon / walk-in... ok lang, pag daw late ng dating hindi na papapasukin. Sa People's Hall ito ginaganap, tapat ng city hall.
4. Fill out Application for Marriage License and submit all requirements (birth cert, cenomar, cedula, seminar cert) at the civil registar office.
5. Proceed to the Treasurer's office and pay P350 as marriage fee.
6. Present original receipt of marriage fee at the civil registrar office.
7. Go back after 10 days for the releasing of the marriage license.
8. Pay P2 as marriage license fee.
We wanted to submit na sana lahat ng requirements kanina pero sabi nila sabay sabay nalang daw sa wednesday. Pina-check nalang namin if okay yung mga dinala namin and okay naman. They did not accept my NSO certified birth cert but good thing I brought the certified true copy from the local civil registry. Thanks to my mama who got copies at the Angeles City hall. Kukunin nila 1 original copy of birth cert and cenomar. Ang ginawa namin, pina-photocopy namin lahat 3 copies each pati 2 valid IDs namin pero di naman kinuha. Basta make sure lang na dala lahat ng requirements para madali ang process. May photocopy services din sila doon pero to save time, paphotocopy nyo na before going there. :)
